aptitude, that is more powerful than apt

Debian GNU/Linux — Антон Марчуков @ 15.12.05 22:16

Even in “apt-get moo” context, aptitude is rather more powerful:

antonm@antares:~$ aptitude moo
There are no Easter Eggs in this program.
antonm@antares:~$ aptitude moo -v
There really are no Easter Eggs in this program.
antonm@antares:~$ aptitude moo -vv
Didn't I already tell you that there are no Easter Eggs in this program?
antonm@antares:~$ aptitude moo -vvv
Stop it!
antonm@antares:~$ aptitude moo -vvvv
Okay, okay, if I give you an Easter Egg, will you go away?
antonm@antares:~$ aptitude moo -vvvvv
All right, you win.

                               /----\
                       -------/ \
                      / \
                     / |
   -----------------/ --------\
   ----------------------------------------------

Happy?antonm@antares:~$ aptitude moo -vvvvvv
What is it? It's an elephant being eaten by a snake, of course.

Which other points do you need for switching over apt? Keep a good work, guys!
P.S.: as I used to, I still use debfoster.
