LUG Meeting – done

Software Libre — Антон Марчуков @ 26.02.06 10:52

Tomorrow we had a first meeting of newly recreated Novgorod Linux User Group. Surprisingly, there were a lot of people. Neither me nor anybody expected so many people to come. For now we had two talks. One on Debian GNU/Linux and one on LUGs operation. The nice thing is that people did ask questions. Last year I was giving lectures on Linux and Grid at our university and the typical case for students is that they seldom ask you questions. Even when it clear that they did understand nothing, they won’t ask you anything. Otherwise here. This shows that people are interested in a topic you proposed for a talk. The meeting had a success, now we plan to have a Linux Day here soon, a day for presentations/install fests/debating etc.
